Hearing Aid Styles

MADE FOR IPHONE

magine speech that’s clear and easy to understand. Imagine wireless stereo headphones for your iPhone® that just happen to be your hearing aids.

COMPLETELY-IN-CANAL (CIC)

Completely-in-canal (CIC) hearing aids are a great option for those with mild to moderate-severe hearing loss who are looking for a discreet hearing aid solution.

BEHIND-THE-EAR (BTE)

For users with more severe hearing losses or smaller ear canals, Behind-the-ear hearing aids (BTE) – are a great solution.

INVISIBLE-IN-CANAL (IIC)

This style provides increased cosmetics appeal for individuals who prefer a deep-fitting device. The IIC also offers reduced wind noise, preserved natural localization and easier use on the telephone. In addition, no special or excessively deep earmold impressions are required.

RECEIVER-IN-CANAL (RIC)

Receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aids are similar to behind-the-ear hearing aids in shape and style, but are smaller because the receiver is placed in the ear-tip instead of the housing.

IN-THE-EAR (ITE)

ITE hearing aids are suitable for most types of hearing losses. They are usually small like an eartip and sit in the outer portion of the ear canal. Depending on the size of the ear canal an in the ear hearing aid may be relatively discreet.

Affordability and Transparency

The conventional method for offering hearing aids and services is in a “bundled” or “packaged” format, where fees associated with the hearing aid evaluation, hearing aid purchase, hearing aid fitting, and follow up and service are billed in a SINGLE charge.

At Audiology by Accent we adopted the practice of “unbundling” or “itemizing” – breaking out the costs of the hearing aid device, accessories, and associated services.

Our “Peace of Mind” plans provide transparency in your hearing aid fitting process. In this model, you will pay wholesale cost for your hearing instruments, and then an individualized care plan will be set with your Audiologist.

Studies have shown that time and money wasted during unnecessary patient visits can be eliminated by simple verification or validation (V&V) measures. Therefore, V&V is delivered within the first 60 days of your hearing aid fitting, or what we call the adjustment period, to ensure you are reaching your full potential.

We believe we need to be “transparent” with our patients. Patients need to know what portion of their money pays for the hearing aid instrument and which portion pays for services.

With “Peace of Mind” you will:

1. only pay for the services you need
2. receive the best technology available
3. get the best price possible!

/ Our patients save up to $2000 on a pair of hearing aids. /
